Common questions

How do I connect another device or browser?

Choose “Connect to your family” and sign in with an adult email address and four-digit Parent PIN. HomeCrew sends a one-use six-digit code to verify the new device. Alternatively, open Settings → Browser access on a connected parent device and scan the QR code or enter the eight-character Family code. A Family code can be used once and expires after 10 minutes.

Where do I find our family code?

The Family code is shown in the parent area under Settings → Browser access, once a parent has enabled it. Family codes are never displayed on public pages.

I forgot a Profile PIN.

On the email sign-in screen, choose “Forgot Parent PIN?”, enter the adult account email, then use the six-digit reset code to create a new four-digit Parent PIN. For a child’s optional Profile PIN, a signed-in parent can open the child profile settings and change it.

How do I correct points?

A parent can open Settings and use Manual adjustment. The reason and balance change remain visible in the child's activity history.

How do device-time and money rewards work?

HomeCrew records approved rewards. A parent still adjusts the child's device allowance or provides money manually. HomeCrew does not transfer funds or integrate with Apple Screen Time.

Does everything stay in sync?

When a parent enables Browser access, family data is saved by the HomeCrew service and connected devices check for updates regularly, so chores, approvals, points and rewards stay synchronized across iPhone, iPad and browser.

How do I delete our family data?

“Erase everything” removes HomeCrew data from the current device. If Browser access is enabled, choose “Turn off everywhere” first to delete the synchronized family space as well. For help with a deletion request, email the support address above.
